PROGRAMMERS' GUIDE
Copyright 1985, 1989, 1990 Nelson Ford
All the files on this disk are text files which can be copied to the printer,
read with a file viewing utility such as LIST, or loaded into a word processor
or text editor.
The GUIDE.TXT file was originally written in 1984 and distributed to shareware
authors in 1985 along with a survey and then rewritten with their input. It was
updated again in January 1989 after being recommended in PC Magazine and Home
Office magazine. Since then it has been updated fairly regularly as new
information surfaces (mainly new sources of supplies, services and equipment).
The .LET files on this disk were all written in 1985 and are left on here for
historical perspective. Some of the letters refer to or reproduce parts of a
survey which was sent to authors to measure the interest in a shareware authors
association. The favorable response led to a year of planning in 1986 for the
first (and to date, only) Shareware Convention in 1987 which, in turn, led to
the formation of the Association of Shareware Professionals, so the roots of
ASP actually go back to 1984-5.
To read the files, type -READ.
The contents of this disk are distributed by PsL under the disk name of
"Programmers' Guide" (disk #233).
